Hey Burger Fans,
As you are all aware, Hurricane Sandy did a lot of damage this past week. Many in the NY/NJ regions were directly affected by this tragedy and we are all still attempting to rebuild and get back to a normal life. We at That Burger were lucky to escape with no damage done to our physical store, but with the power outages in the East Village, have been unable to make the delicious burgers that feed our hungry fans and help keep us in business.
In order to help both me personally through this event and all the others who were impacted, I am going to be selling That Burger shirts (finally!). I will be donating 15% of the proceeds to charities helping to deal with Sandy Relief. As a current New Yorker, but raised New Jersey-ian, I plan to have half of the money donated to NYC efforts and half to Jersey Shore efforts. In addition, if we end up selling more than 100 shirts, I will raise the donation level to 20%! I’d like to help support local charities helping the relief (Lower East Side Recovers, NY Food Bank, etc), so if you can recommend any other good ones, send them to me!
The shirts will be on super comfortable American Apparel TShirts and the cost includes shipping to anywhere in the US (international orders may require additional shipping costs). Each shirt also includes a coupon for a free burger the next time you stop into the shop.
The design of the shirt can be seen below. We will be offering the one shown (in white) as well as a Blackout reverse shirt where all of the text will be in white on a black shirt. If you want to purchase both shirts, you’ll get a $5 discount - single shirts are $30, a two shirt package is $55.

After purchase, I will contact you directly to get the sizes for the shirts (S, M, L, XL, XXL are all available) as well as information to get the shirts sent out to you - or you can always pick them up at our shop when ready! Shirts should be completed in early-mid December and will be mailed out prior to the holiday season … they make great gifts!
